The staggering may not be neurological or toxin induced it may just be due to extreme weakness. I would mostly be concerned about acute kidney failure (i.e. due to a toxin ingested) or a urinary tract obstruction. Cats can also have weird symptoms if they ingest pot but it usually doesn't last more than 24 hours. He needs to see a vet asap! Dr. Marie. Your cat does indeed sound seriously ill! One time I found out I was allergic to an over-the-counter flea and tick treatment. I had to drinks sugared milk and takes a bath IN WATER to wash it off. Wuz a very bad day, except fur the milk.
