Use a CatBib available from Catgoods its the best product I think. I have two bells on my cats collar also and she has not caught a single bird in the 2 months I have had the bib. My cat can still get around and climb trees etc so it still has an active life. Don't take my word for it try one out.

Sierra wildlife rescue located in placerville, ca sells neoprene bibs that
attach to the cats collar. They are still able to catch prey that scurry like mice, etc but if they try to jump up to swat a bird it covers their face so they can't see thus reducing the amount of bird kills. I'm unsure why people aren't more aware of this product. I myself don't have cats because I love birds too much and can't deal with litter boxes.
