Win a Kitty a Go-Go Litterbox

February 7, 2013 | by JaneA Kelley | contests and giveaways | 86 Comments

This giveaway is now closed. Thank you for entering, and thank you for being a fan of Paws and Effect. The winner will be notified by e-mail.

Kitty a-Go-Go litterbox in leopard pattern

Kitty a Go-Go litterbox in leopard pattern

2013 marks Paws and Effect’s 10th anniversary, and one of the ways we’re celebrating is with a giveaway every month. Although we missed January, we’re starting our series with one item that’s worth at least two items in terms of its sheer awesomeness.

The Kitty a Go-Go litterbox comes in six cool designs — leopard (shown at right), polka-dot, flower pattern, wood grain, black, and metallic — that are guaranteed to fit in with almost any decor. The box is made of high-quality, high-impact stain-resistant plastic and has a pull-out litter tray drawer for easy cleanup. It comes with a replaceable litter tray liner made out of hard plastic rather than the trash bag-like material many litterbox liners are made of.

The Kitty a Go-Go is highly portable: you can see the grab handle at the top of the unit. It has built-in ventilation slots and comes with a custom-designed litter scoop and a place on the litterbox itself to hang it.

The Kitty a Go-Go is 21 inches long by 18 inches wide by 16 inches high. The entrance is 12 inches wide by 8 inches high, and the inside litter tray dimensions are 13 inches wide, 17-1/2 inches long and 4 inches deep. The inside height from the bottom of the tray to the top of the ceiling is 14-3/4 inches.

The company also sells accessories and replacement parts, including tray liners, litter scoop, and a litter rake that costs $24.99.

The Kitty a Go-Go typically retails for $129.99, and you have a chance to get one for free, shipped directly to your door by the manufacturer. Simply leave a comment to this post — maybe you want to tell me what color you’d like or why your cat would love it — and you’ll be eligible to win.

In order to be fair to everyone, you may only leave one comment. Any additional comments from you will be deleted. The winner will be chosen randomly from the comments left on the post.

We hate to say it, but this contest is only open to entrants in the continental United States. If you’re from Canada or you’re one of our readers from the UK, Australia, New Zealand, or anywhere else in the world, don’t worry — we will have giveaways that you can enjoy, too.

Entries are open through 8 p.m. Eastern Time Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013. In the comment form, please leave an e-mail address you check regularly, because you’ll have 24 hours to respond before I choose another winner. Please see our Giveaway and Contest Rules page for full details.

Shadow cat would love a new litter box. She is using one that has been used by three other cats before she came to live here. She is a good girl and always goes in her box!!

My two needs this especially because our new foster dog thinks that the litter box is a buffet.
No, he is not really looking for the poo, he just really likes fresh clean litter.

I think this give-away is wonderful. I like the black one – it looks so sleek. But I don’t want it for myself. I would give it the a rescue group that is fostering cats/kittens. They give up so much to provide for the kitties.

I raise foster kittens for the local shelter and often have 10 or more kittens in residence at a time. As you can imagine, we go through a lot of litter boxes. But I bet those babies would just LOVE a box like this to start learning correct litter box habits! Great giveaway.

My Caroline would love this! We travel to see family about once a month and I usually end up buying disposable litter pans that she’s not too keen to use. This portable box would mean she could have the comfort of her own litterbox on our trips!

Chopin (aka Meow Meow) would love the Polka Dot litter box! My roommates have been kind enough to scoop his litter once in a while when I’m busy, but I’m sure this will make it much easier for me to scoop everyday! On another note, Meow Meow and I really appreciate this forum; it’s so well organized and it really helped when he got fleas and I had a panic attack. Meow! :)

Our mini-schnauzer, Ellie, has a bad habit for “kitty roca” treats from the litter box. We have developed ways to allow our cat, Sadie, entrance to the room with the box while thwarting Ellie’s efforts for stinky treats. It’s worked pretty well. But we are moving to a new home with two levels which require upstairs and downstairs boxes. The downstairs box will be in more a more public area. It would be terrific if it fit with our décor and, at the same time, guarded Sadie’s need for privacy and gave Ellie an opportunity for more appropriate snacks. We’d love to have the flower Kitty A-go-go to shine in our new home…and Sadie would love the addition to her boudoir.

I left a comment to win the litterbox too. I saw your comment above mine and felt selfish because I know a kitty foster home should get this. I’ve pledged to have it shipped directly to you if I win. :)

I love the Kitty Go-Go Litterbox and would love to have one for my four Fur Kids; Smokey, Tiger, Bandit and Aliester. But after reading the above comment from Jane Broyles I have decided that if I win I will donate it to her kitty foster home. I will have it shipped directly to her. :)
Thank you for the opportunity to win!

My Grizabella would love this – she currently scratches the walls, and anything else in reach (except the litter) to cover her presents. My Shadow, a 22lb coon, probably won’t fit, but he likes to be separate from his sister anyway!

This is such a nice thing to do for us pet lovers. Thanks. My 2 girls, Chilli-Pepper and Mama would love the one with the floral pattern. They were both adopted from a shelter. One is 3 years old and the other one is one year old. They are both spayed and indoor cats. They love getting new things.

Well, I’m Canadian, and not eligible but I wanted to say thank you! Until this giveaway I didn’t know they existed, but now I’ll have me one of these when I have some extra cash, the why? It’s covered, and I have a kitten who despite the fact that I can’t walk for toys, insists that his litter box is the best toy ever invented (and another who swears by hair elastics), and I’m tired of all his litter ending up in the middle of the floor on an at least once daily basis! (He’s a coon cat with huge paws, and he literally shovels it onto the floor…)

If this is as easy to clean as reviewed, I may like it more than our 11 cats! I am responsible for litterbox duties, which have been more difficult as of late because of a recent arthritis diagnosis. Anything to make that chore easier would be appreciated by humans and our kids, both foster and full time alike. Good luck to everyone!

My Mooky would love this. I’ve shared my life with her for years now and she’s had the same litter box since kitten hood. I can’t afford a nice litter box like this for her and it would help me so much, and give her what she deserves. I don’t expect to win because I have no money or anything, but I know my kitty would love this.. She is my world and I wish I could afford nice things like this for her.
If you choose my little Mooky, we would like this in black. Thank you so much for this opportunity.
