Kitty a-Go-Go litterbox in leopard pattern

Kitty a Go-Go litterbox in leopard pattern

2013 marks Paws and Effect’s 10th anniversary, and one of the ways we’re celebrating is with a giveaway every month. Although we missed January, we’re starting our series with one item that’s worth at least two items in terms of its sheer awesomeness.

The Kitty a Go-Go litterbox comes in six cool designs — leopard (shown at right), polka-dot, flower pattern, wood grain, black, and metallic — that are guaranteed to fit in with almost any decor. The box is made of high-quality, high-impact stain-resistant plastic and has a pull-out litter tray drawer for easy cleanup. It comes with a replaceable litter tray liner made out of hard plastic rather than the trash bag-like material many litterbox liners are made of.

The Kitty a Go-Go is highly portable: you can see the grab handle at the top of the unit. It has built-in ventilation slots and comes with a custom-designed litter scoop and a place on the litterbox itself to hang it.

The Kitty a Go-Go is 21 inches long by 18 inches wide by 16 inches high. The entrance is 12 inches wide by 8 inches high, and the inside litter tray dimensions are 13 inches wide, 17-1/2 inches long and 4 inches deep. The inside height from the bottom of the tray to the top of the ceiling is 14-3/4 inches.

The company also sells accessories and replacement parts, including tray liners, litter scoop, and a litter rake that costs $24.99.

The Kitty a Go-Go typically retails for $129.99, and you have a chance to get one for free, shipped directly to your door by the manufacturer. Simply leave a comment to this post — maybe you want to tell me what color you’d like or why your cat would love it — and you’ll be eligible to win.

In order to be fair to everyone, you may only leave one comment. Any additional comments from you will be deleted. The winner will be chosen randomly from the comments left on the post.

We hate to say it, but this contest is only open to entrants in the continental United States. If you’re from Canada or you’re one of our readers from the UK, Australia, New Zealand, or anywhere else in the world, don’t worry — we will have giveaways that you can enjoy, too.

Entries are open through 8 p.m. Eastern Time Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013. In the comment form, please leave an e-mail address you check regularly, because you’ll have 24 hours to respond before I choose another winner. Please see our Giveaway and Contest Rules page for full details.

I would love to win one of these for my gang – they can really put the “test” in testing a litterbox – about 2 weeks ago, Jax actually broke 2 litterboxes within one week. The black & metallic boxes are very cool. Thanks for such a great give away.

  2. Angela Stringfellow says

Greetings!! I am happy about your 10 year anniversary, so congrats!!! My cats and I would like to win this beautiful litterbox. Moo-Kitty and Maneki Neko are enchanted by the leopard spotted design, Buddy likes the litter tray. The reason the cats would like to win it is because their current box (I need to get a new one) has survived several moves, and in the last move it got a little broken. Having spent the last bit of money on the move itself, I instead (shamefully) fixed the cracked parts with duct tape. It has functioned for the last three years at least in its condition. They are just embarrassed by the outside looks. It is only the lid part that has the tape, the important part–where the litter goes is just fine! But the three kitties tell me, that this is classy enough for them!!

  3. Heather says

Looks really great!! I have 3 kitties and we just had a kitty box casualty (dont ask you really dont wanna know lol) and are in the market for a new one.

  4. Anna says

I have 7 kitties — Punkin, Ginger, Biscuit, Ambrosia, Creamsicle, Tiramisu, and Scooter Pie! They are real good about using their litter boxes but sure would love a snazzy one like this to mix up their salle-de-bain experience. They have three open boxes, a few covered ones, and one of those pans that hides inside a white end tabley thing with a door that lives in our little bathroom. This Kitty A Go-Go leopard-print box would be a real special addition for them — and with all the toys and goodies their mama buys them, she has no moolah left over to buy cool litterboxes with. Oh, no! Creamy and Scootie just looked over my shoulder and saw the photo! And now they’re telling Punks, Gingey, Broshi, Bisci, and Tira that they are getting this and they are getting all excited! I’m gonna be in very deep doodoo (in every possible figurative and literal sense) if they do not find this box all full of clean litter and waiting for their sweet little presents real SOON. Help!

  5. Amanda Heil says

My baby girl Neko would love the polka dotted one! She was born premature and abandoned by her mother at birth. I hand fed her and nursed her to health, taking her everywhere with me. It was touch and go for the first few weeks, but now she’s 6 months old and still tries to nurse on my hand! She’s simply a miracle and I’m proud she allowed me to be her mama!

  6. Susan McNerney says

The Ancy cats would love it! Fancy, Dancy and Clancy were sealed in a box and put out as trash-until rescued by Forgotten Felines of Maine. They deserve only the best after their tough start in life.

  7. says

Cool idea Janea….the kitties at Forgotten Felines of Maine would love this. Afterall some kitties don’t like having themselves exposed at such a delicate time. Although if we win, I might just give it to Susan McNerney because she adopted all three of the kitties we rescued that were taped up in a box. She only wanted one but could not seperate them and took all three. What a blessing. Thank you and good luck with the contest >^..^< Pam xo

  9. Kendra K. says

Thanks for the give-a-way! The flowered box would look adorable in the kitty guest room. I foster orphaned kittens and puppies that need to be bottle fed for local and surrounding rescue groups and animal control shelters. My most recent rescue has a crushed leg and will be having it amuptated as soon as he’s over his bladder infection and will need his own room and litter box while he recovers. I am always looking for new and unique boxes for my home. Good luck everyone!

  10. ELIZABETH PORTIILO says

Hi and thanks for such an awesome giveaway!

I would love to have that awesome litterbox in my house! It’ll be perfect because my son(hank) who is a awesome beautiful orange tabby, he needs an awesome litterbox! He is that cool and is just the best big brother to his little human brother that he loves sooo much! My baby needs this! And I would enjoy it too!,
thanks and good luck to y’all!

    xoxo

  11. Tyson, Chaucer, Marley, Boo, Louie says

We NEED this litterbox! We took over meowmie’s computer just to tell you we love it! We’re fighting over the color though, so meowmie can pick that out!

  12. Dee says

The Kitties at the Shawnee Om Shanti Cat Sanctuary told me they would like “one of those fancy dancy litter boxes”.

  13. Elise says

OMG this would be purrfect!! Our big boy Tiger is just TOO big for the box he shares with his sister Grey. IT would be great for him to actually fit inside his litter box :) Thanks for considering us!!

  14. Stephanie Neuman says

Our two foster kittens, Mister and Mel, would love this box in almost any design. They are not used to the fancy things in life as they were rescued by their foster momma after theirs got hit by a car. Then we adopted them. They LOVE to hide and play. What an awesome giveaway! Good luck everyone!! :)

  15. Joanna Osterman says

My baby girl Amber has her “22nd” birthday coming up (had her since she was five weeks old) and she told me she’d like nothing better than a pretty new box with polka-dots all over it.

Amber says the fronts of all the “fancy” boxes in the pet stores are just too high for her to get in and when she saw the pictures of all the kitties and their boxes on the Kitty A Go Go website, she miaou’d that these look just purrrrfect!!

  16. Brenda Campbell says

This is awesome! Great idea. My four rescue kitties would love to share this. They just told me they wanted the leopard one!!!!

  17. Jilla says

How very cool! My kitties would love a pokie dot. Since several of my kitties are “husky”, they don’t like tiny litter boxes and sometimes miss. I think this would solve the problem!

  18. HollyAnne Dustin says

Fireball would like me to tell you that he would really love one of these nice litterboxes for his new digs. He does not get along with his furry brothers so well and since his human sister has moved out he’s taking over her room for his own. He’s got to have a litter box to go in his nice new space, one of these super awesome ones would be great, make the other cats jealous!

  19. Lois Curcio says

My kitties would love this cool litterbox, especially, Mario. I think he would love the leopard print. I’m hoping that the Undergound Kitty Transport can bring him from North Carolina to Florida soon! I can’t wait to see him again, it’s been a year!

  20. Sandy Weatherwax says

I have my kitteh Max that’s been with me since 2007… and this past November, we adopted Alex and Molly from a local shelter. They all have gotten along really well from the time I brought the 2 home! That astounds me! Max is definetly the ‘alpha male’… well by rights he is older than the other 2… He gets along well with my daughters puppy JaX, a blue heeler mix… but the other 2 just don’t understand dog language, LOL! …and he doesn’t understand cat… sigh. I love them all… they’re such company! I am blessed. I’m not sure how they would do with a covered litter box, but we’re all willing to try! and we love the leopard print= it’s just our colors! Good Luck to all who enter! =)

  21. Leslie. Wombacher says

We just got a kitten! We got her from a great organization Forgotten Felines of Maine. My little one named her Sara and we all love her very much, even our dog. She would love winning this absolutely fabulous litter box. Crossing our fingers.

  22. Jill Madura says

How Awesome! I would love to get it for a very near and dear friend of mine! Not that my babies wouldn’t love it but my friend who volunteers for a rescue group with me would love it so much! It fits her and her kitties personality sooooooooo much! I guess technically I would give away the give-away lol

  23. Jane wood says

My Abytoo needs this desperately as quite frankly put those eyes of hers tells me she needs her privacy when nature calls. Great item for some luck kitty to own.

  24. Margot C says

Well, that is the stylish and luxe litterbox to end all stylish and luxe litterboxes; I think my cat Leonardo (known colloquially as ‘His Lordship’) needs this!

Thank you so much for hosting this giveaway.

  25. Emma Abruzzo says

We desperately need this for our two kitties!! My baby, Rose, is 2 and a half and has been battling sickness for a few months now :( She loves new things!

  26. Shadow Dance Ranch Kittehs says

ConCATulations on your 10 year anniversary! This is a really cool litterbox. It might even be big enough for our, shall we say, heftier sisfurs and brofurs :) We really like the Leopard design too! Thanks for a chance to win one. xoxoxo SDR Clan

  27. Mary Shufelt says

Love this litter box. If a litter box could be chic, this is as close as it gets.

Thanks for you blog. I enjoy reading so much. I glad Bella is happy. Sounds like Thomas and Siouxie like her.

  28. Dianne says

Shadow cat would love a new litter box. She is using one that has been used by three other cats before she came to live here. She is a good girl and always goes in her box!!

  29. Breanna says

My two needs this especially because our new foster dog thinks that the litter box is a buffet.
No, he is not really looking for the poo, he just really likes fresh clean litter.

  30. Patty says

I think this give-away is wonderful. I like the black one – it looks so sleek. But I don’t want it for myself. I would give it the a rescue group that is fostering cats/kittens. They give up so much to provide for the kitties.

  31. Penny Tuttle says

I raise foster kittens for the local shelter and often have 10 or more kittens in residence at a time. As you can imagine, we go through a lot of litter boxes. But I bet those babies would just LOVE a box like this to start learning correct litter box habits! Great giveaway.

  32. Sarianna says

My Caroline would love this! We travel to see family about once a month and I usually end up buying disposable litter pans that she’s not too keen to use. This portable box would mean she could have the comfort of her own litterbox on our trips!

  33. Sheree says

My 4 kitties would love this (and so would I!) It’s so pretty and I love the cover! Woodgrain would probably be my favorite.

  34. RitaLouise says

Finally, someone made a decent looking litterbox, that’s covered too! I would love one of these for my two cats, Ziggy and Marley!

  35. Jenny Lee says

Chopin (aka Meow Meow) would love the Polka Dot litter box! My roommates have been kind enough to scoop his litter once in a while when I’m busy, but I’m sure this will make it much easier for me to scoop everyday! On another note, Meow Meow and I really appreciate this forum; it’s so well organized and it really helped when he got fleas and I had a panic attack. Meow! :)

  36. Sue says

Our mini-schnauzer, Ellie, has a bad habit for “kitty roca” treats from the litter box. We have developed ways to allow our cat, Sadie, entrance to the room with the box while thwarting Ellie’s efforts for stinky treats. It’s worked pretty well. But we are moving to a new home with two levels which require upstairs and downstairs boxes. The downstairs box will be in more a more public area. It would be terrific if it fit with our décor and, at the same time, guarded Sadie’s need for privacy and gave Ellie an opportunity for more appropriate snacks. We’d love to have the flower Kitty A-go-go to shine in our new home…and Sadie would love the addition to her boudoir.

  37. Jane Broyles says

I foster cats for a local shelter. We have litter boxes scattered everywhere. A pretty box would be very welcome !

    • Elizabeth Bly says

I left a comment to win the litterbox too. I saw your comment above mine and felt selfish because I know a kitty foster home should get this. I’ve pledged to have it shipped directly to you if I win. :)

  38. Elizabeth Bly says

I love the Kitty Go-Go Litterbox and would love to have one for my four Fur Kids; Smokey, Tiger, Bandit and Aliester. But after reading the above comment from Jane Broyles I have decided that if I win I will donate it to her kitty foster home. I will have it shipped directly to her. :)
Thank you for the opportunity to win!

  39. Amey Fuller says

My Grizabella would love this – she currently scratches the walls, and anything else in reach (except the litter) to cover her presents. My Shadow, a 22lb coon, probably won’t fit, but he likes to be separate from his sister anyway!

  40. Alice says

I have 3 cats and am always enjoying this article when it arrives in my email.
I just love those kitties! They are so smart and interesting!!
Thanks for offerring this awesome prize :-)
    Purrs…..Alice

  41. Migdalia Mendez says

This is such a nice thing to do for us pet lovers. Thanks. My 2 girls, Chilli-Pepper and Mama would love the one with the floral pattern. They were both adopted from a shelter. One is 3 years old and the other one is one year old. They are both spayed and indoor cats. They love getting new things.

  42. Linda B says

humans like to decorate their bathrooms with pretty things … cats should have that option, too! i think my cats would love the polka dot version!

  43. Diane Winslow says

My 6 little (neutered, rescued) cats would absolutely love to have the “Kitty A Go Go” elegant litter box! And their mommy (me) would be eternally grateful!
    Thank you.

  44. Jewel says

Well, I’m Canadian, and not eligible but I wanted to say thank you! Until this giveaway I didn’t know they existed, but now I’ll have me one of these when I have some extra cash, the why? It’s covered, and I have a kitten who despite the fact that I can’t walk for toys, insists that his litter box is the best toy ever invented (and another who swears by hair elastics), and I’m tired of all his litter ending up in the middle of the floor on an at least once daily basis! (He’s a coon cat with huge paws, and he literally shovels it onto the floor…)

  45. Colin says

If this is as easy to clean as reviewed, I may like it more than our 11 cats! I am responsible for litterbox duties, which have been more difficult as of late because of a recent arthritis diagnosis. Anything to make that chore easier would be appreciated by humans and our kids, both foster and full time alike. Good luck to everyone!

  46. Dianne says

What a cute litter box. Leopard print is my favorite. I’m sure my cats will love it!!! It’s about time that we had good looking as well as functional litter boxes!!!

  47. Lauren says

My Mooky would love this. I’ve shared my life with her for years now and she’s had the same litter box since kitten hood. I can’t afford a nice litter box like this for her and it would help me so much, and give her what she deserves. I don’t expect to win because I have no money or anything, but I know my kitty would love this.. She is my world and I wish I could afford nice things like this for her.
If you choose my little Mooky, we would like this in black. Thank you so much for this opportunity.

  48. Kimberly Hensley says

I care for the resident cat at the retirement home where I work. This would be so much nicer than the ugly litter box we currently use!

  49. Rosie Williams says

we love these they are very cute we would love a new box especially the designer colors hope we win :)
